Chewable tablets to remove roundworms and hookworms from puppies and adult dogs age 3 weeks and over.
These chewable tablets make it easy to treat your dog or puppy for roundworms or hookworms. D-Worm controls and eliminates the most common intestinal worms safely and effectively. Tablets may be offered directly, or added to food. Available in two varieties: Small dogs/Puppies & Large Dogs. For dogs and puppies over 3 weeks of age. Each box contains 2 tablets. Made in the USA.
Puppies/Small Dogs: Each chewable tablet contains 22.7 mg Pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate.
Large Dogs: Each chewable tablet contains 113.5 mg Pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate.
Puppies/Small Dogs: 10 lbs or less: 1 chewable tablet. For dogs weighing more than 10 lbs, 1/2 chewable tablet for each additional 5 lbs: for instance, a 15 lb dog would get 1-1/2 tablets, a 20 lb dog would get 2 tablets. Use Large Dog tablets for dogs 25 lbs and over.
Large Dogs: 25 lbs: 1/2 chewable, 26-50 lbs: 1 chewable, 51-75 lbs: 1-1/2 chewables, 76-100 lbs: 2 tablets.
Note: The presence of these parasites should be determined by a laboratory fecal examination.
These are general deworming guidelines. Please follow manufacturer's directions for individual wormers.
Deworming history of newly acquired puppies should be obtained to determine whether additional deworming is needed.
Puppies: Initiate treatment at 2 weeks, repeat at 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks of age. For a puppy at increased risk, also treat at 12 weeks, and then monthly until the puppy is 6 months old. Treat mother at the same time.
Nursing Dams: Treat concurrently with puppies.
Adult Dogs: Treat monthly or as recommended by your veterinarian. Also monitor and eliminate parasites in pet's environment.
Newly Acquired Animals: Worm immediately: repeat in 2 weeks, then follow above recommendations.
