My Tara is a 12-1/2 year old Border Collie mix and she has what I call an 'old mouth'. Some chipped teeth (she loved playing Frisbee for years), tartar on her teeth, and a few months back she developed a gum infection. My vet treated the gum infection and my apartment manager told me about Milk-Bone Brushing Chews. She said they worked very well for her dog. Although Tara is 48 lbs. I buy the mini size because I can give her 1 after each meal (she is fed twice a day). I find this to be better than feeding one large, once per day. I'd say that over the last few months at least 1/2 the tartar that had built up on her teeth is long gone, and they are so much whiter. Very pleased with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gypsy Works Very Well & Keeps Our Dogs' Teeth Clean
I started buying these the very first time I saw them in stores. Even our vet was impressed at how well the Milk-Bone Brushing Chews work at keeping all of our dogs teeth clean & their breath fresh. Our dogs love them too. I'm looking forward to getting the new mint ones in mini size.

My dog Sam, a lhasa mix, loves these and waits at the cabinet every morning after his walk for his special treat.

Every morning I ask, do you want to brush your teeth? She gets very excited to receive her tooth brush. I have tried brushing her teeth with a brush and doggie tooth brush from the time she was a puppy. Used different doggie tooth pastes, all with the same result, her mouth clamps shut. Pointless. I've tried nylabones and they were just messy and she didn't really get excited about them. Greenies were enjoyed, but are not a daily product, to expensive, a petite greenie is 95 calories. My girl is a Chiweenie, sweet, darling, and both breeds are prone to obesity. I do wish that they were a little harder so she wouldn't gobble it so quickly, but I doubt that would make them last longer with her
