I bought this crate (27.5 x 20.5 x 20.5) for my Westie (19 lbs) to put in the car. It fits great in the back seat and it large enough for her to stand up in the crate. I loop the seat belt through the crate handles for securing the crate in the car. I chose this crate because it did have handles otherwise some other crate will just sit in the back seat and if you had a collision, the crate could get thrown around in the car. I liked the crate so well that I purchased a second crate (22.8 x 15.7 x 15.7) for my 'granddogger', a half chihuahua, half Italian greyhound mix (11 lbs), she comes to visit quite often when my daughter is working.
The pad that comes with the crate is not so great; it's thin, flimsy, sheds and slides around quite a bit when the dog is on it. I spent an extra ($25.) and purchased a lamb-skin dog pad with bolstered sides and those fit just perfect in the crate(s).
Overall, really, really happy with the crates and the dogs love them too.

I bought this crate to take to agility class for my Border Collie. He loves it and does not scratch at mesh because he can see in all 4 directions. It is well made and very light to carry.

Easy to carry from room to room when I want to keep my puppy contained. Easy to clean, though a bit too large to use for crate potty training.

Purchased this crate/kennel with the intentions of using it as it say's for traveling and such with the main intention of using it for home purposes. Mainly since the generic crate/kennel has an unsightly appearance. I purposefully ordered the largest or extra large kennel for the extra space for my petite German Shepherd which only weighs 65lbs. After the very brief/short assembly process which is convenient it was easy to see that this kennel is not very large at all as I had anticipated. My shepherd is my life since she is a Service Animal so I want her to have as much comfort as possible and surprisingly she willingly went into the kennel for a look and to lay down. When she did this, she had to duck down to get into the kennel and is only able to lay in a few positions mainly curled up in a ball. She is not able to stretch out in any direction.
This kennel is very lightweight and yet appears to be made of fairly good material. My shepherd is able to see in any direction she pleases. And like I stated it is very easy to assemble and to take apart/transport. The padding that is built into or attached to the floor is of a cheesy type material and somewhat thin so I have placed an extra light blanket inside to add more padding.
The only thing I wish they would've used in the sizing description would be an example of type/size of animal you were going to be getting this for. I probably would've not purchased this particular one, even though I bought the largest one, if I would've known different.
Overall though I would recommend this to someone else with a smaller animal.
