Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Harnesses Ever! We've had our two American Pit Bull Terriers for 3 years now and we've tried many harnesses and collars before we found the Premier Easy Walk's and let me just say they were a life saver! Others gave the dogs too much control and others would choke them. I know some people think that choke collars are supposed to work... but they don't! They do just as they're named; CHOKE! They want to keep pulling while continuing being choked. It's no fun. With the Easy Walks, we're able to guide them where we want them to go and since they are able to see where the leash is attached, it gives them a sense of guidance in itself and it makes walking them a BREEZE! I never have to worry about them pulling away from me or even walking too far ahead of us. If you have any dog that pulls or just want a harness for a good, relaxing walk, the Easy Walks are the way to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skeptical at first but IT REALLY WORKS! I just adopted a 6 month old 72lbs mastiff puppy with NO training... I am pregnant AND I have a 70lb Doberman who pretty well behaved but still pulls a little on the leash when he see's a squirrel or another dog. Anyways right after I adopted her I attempted to go to petsmart with both dogs... they were both super excited because they liked each other so much AND the first time I go with both dogs just so happens to be the most crowded day lol there were so many people and dogs...not a bad thing..but usually it's not that crowded. I make it into the sliding doors, I am sweating both dogs are pulling and going crazy i'm trying to get control of my doberman but he's just SO excited and he didn't have his choke chain on and was pulling so bad...ugg so I end up having to put my mastiff puppy in the cart..she weighs 72lbs not easy for a pregnant woman..but way easier than being pulled by a 72lb mastiff...so I somehow got her up there go to the collar section and since the mastiff is in the cart my doberman calms down and starts walking perfectly go figure. I get to the collars and a petsmart guy walks up to and asks if I need help and I said YES and I need to be able to walk both dogs without pulling i'm thinking of using the prong collar or the leash that goes around the dogs nose... he then offered the easy walk harness and of course I was skeptical and thought he was just being a sales man trying to get me to buy the most expensive thing BUT he offered to show me how it worked opend the package put it on my mastiff and doberman AND picked the mastiff out of the cart and I walked both dogs with ease... I didn't beleive it they tried pulling but the harness tightend and then they both stopped and looked at me.. it took 2 seconds for them to learn. I walked around the store with both dogs with ease around everyone else and their dogs and all the distractions and they were very distracted and still a little hyper but they stayed by me whenever the leash would tighten. I was still skepitcal and thought they were just being good and so I then tried them both in prong collars and choke chains and my mastiff pulled HARDER in the choke chain, and both dogs looked so annoyed and uncomfortable and tense in the prong collars so I went with the easy walk harness and I walked out of petsmart holding both dogs in ONE hand. I didnt think it would work but it works AWESOME I told my husband he was so impressed! The ONLY con I have with this item is how long it takes to put on lol not the best thing to take the dogs out in to go potty in the morning - we dont have a fenced yard so I have to leash them to take them out and we have a super strict leash law. Anyways the first morning I used the harness it took a good 15 minutes to try and put on my excited wiggling mastiff and when I tried to get her to sit she peed a little bit so for early morning right out of the kennel I just slip on a collar and go outside as fast as I can so she doesn't have accidents inside...but this harness is a MUST HAVE for long walks, parades, family outings, and basically everywhere! Went on a 3O minute walk with both dogs and a kid in the stroller and was a breeze...no pulling walked right behind the stroller my leash was so lose I now have to get a shorter leash!! This worked well on my super wide mastiff and my tall narrow doberman. I was concerned it looked uncomfortable but both dogs play and run around when wearing these and they stay on! and they dont seem bothered by the harness at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Harness! My 13 lb. dog is super friendly and would always pull on her harness in her eagerness to greet people or other dogs we would inevitably encounter on daily walks. I watched the video and decided to give the Easy Walk harness a try. An attendant at the store let me try the collar on before purchasing it and assisted me in adjusting the fit. Needless to say, taking a dog with this behavior into the Petsmart environment is challenging at best - so many people, and dogs too, so little time! I really wasn't expecting the harness to make that much of a difference in my dog's behavior so I was absolutely amazed when I walked her down the aisle and she stayed right by my side like I'd spent hours training her not to pull! It was awesome. I love this harness! In the following days I did have to make slight adjustments to the harness but if you follow the guidelines on the instructions and make the small corrections needed for the proper fit, it is worth every penny you pay to have full control of your dog on walks! I recommended this harness to my daughter who has 2 dogs that love dog parks and are obedience trained but are unmanageable on leash walks. The harness made a believer out of me - love to walk my dog now - no more dragging, reprimanding or embarrassment about my dog's behavior while we're out for a walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!!! I just got mine for my basset/shepherd mix, Beretta. She is 43lbs of muscle! My boyfriend and I joke she is all shepherd on basset legs. She is one heck of a puller though for her short size and will be coughing and wheezing while on a walk because she is pulling so hard! After lots of research and advice from the shelter we adopted her from we bought an easy walk harness. I put it on her, adjusted it, got a handful of training treats and let out a big sigh as I prepared to open the door with her tugging my arm out of it's socket. She tried to pull and stopped immediately. Holy cow! She caught on quick with lots of praise and treats to go with it, she's very food motivated. I was able to walk her and not the other way around for the first time since we got her. It was amazing! I literally almost burst into tears of joy! Beretta is the best dog I have ever had the pleasure to own though she had such a pulling problem. Now with this harness she, my boyfriend and I are even happier especially when it comes to walks! My tips for this harness are: watch the video on YouTube on how to put it on. Makes it so much easier and do give your pup training treats while putting it on and adjusting the harness to distract them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I picked this up at my local Petsmart after weeks of pain from trying to walk my puppy. She is only eight months old, and although I've worked with her in training exercises to walk on leash without pulling, she just wasn't "getting it". I have a bad disc in my neck, and after a walk with her constantly pulling, I would be in pain all afternoon. I just took her on her first walk with this harness, and WOW! What an improvement. Even when we met up with another dog she couldn't pull me with this harness, and it didn't cause any pinching or pain to her, she just didn't pull on it. Amazing! I would definitely recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product! After reading all the positive reviews, I did not believe this product would work on my Husky who are breed to pull so I asked the cashier at Petsmart if her customers have had success and she told me that several have but if it doesn't work for me, I can return for a full refund. No risk so I bought it! The first day I used it, it was like night and day! He tried to pull but corrected himself right away. It takes a little to adjust but once it is adjusted, it snaps on and off quickly. You do need to take it off after the walk. It is not meant to stay on all the time! What an awesome product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic training tool Great training tool, my pit bull mix pulled really hard constantly as we walked til I started using this - would wholeheartedly recommend. Takes a little while to get it fitted completely right, but it doesn't rub when sized correctly. Ordered another one for my new Akita, hoping to see the same results! Good quality, have had for a year and a half and no fraying or breaking. Really easy to control my dog, even though she used to pull very hard. Thankfully she no longer needs it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This worked like a miracle Okay, I have been working with 2 poodles for almost a year and I have spent over $200 in different harness options. None of the others worked on my dogs. They would mush, dart across me, you name it. Then I bought this thing. ....and I had an almost perfect walking dog. It took a little for both of them to get use to. My girl, who is 8 pounds, had a mushing and tugging problem when seein other people (she thought it was not possible to see someone who didn't want to pet her). This was a huge problem since there are people that are not comfotable with dogs, no matter how small and cute they are. On her first pull, the problem was solved, as the harness pulled her in a circle back to me. My boy had a different problem, he is a JUMPER! My little 20 pound poodle gave my 6'6 brother in law a kiss on the face out of excitement, so as I said it was quite a problem. This harness had him jumping in a circle of confusion as soon as I walked him with it. Problem was solved in the first walk..FYI, I keep both dogs on a short leash as I believe the retractables are potentialy dangerous as they can cut through skin if wrapped around a person or another dog. The harness is a little tricky to fit onto the dog, but give it some adjustment time and it will be well worth it. I have only had them for under a year so I cannot speak to the durability of the harnesses at this point in time.

What size do I need for a 50 pound dog?

Asked by: girlonthego
The correctly sized harness for your dog is determined by their girth measurement, as measured from behind their front legs. If you have a dog with a particularly wide (e.g. Pit Bulls) or narrow chest (e.g. Greyhounds) you may want to take a closer look at our Tweener sizes, which are specifically designed for such dogs. With 8 sizes available, we absolutely have an Easy Walk Harness to fit your dog! What size would I need for a 20pound dog?

Asked by: llsb72
I have a mini goldendoodle whosejust over a year old and weighs 22.5 lbs. I have tried the small size which I feel is too small. I then tried the small/medium size which is a little large but better than the small. My problem is both harnesses have torn on either side of the connecting loop in almost the exact locations. I like the harness but it's getting expensive to keep replacing them so I'm looking for something more durable. The larger size harnesses definitely look better built than the sizes I have tried and I don't think they would have the same problem. Also if you notice Pet Smart doesn't stock the small/medium size.
