Rated 5 out of 5 by digidoggie Excellent Product!!!
I've had mine for a little over 2 years now and it works exceptionally well. In fact I even just bought the gravity feeder to go with it. I like the fact that it filters the water pretty well, upon refill of the container it does take a little while to fill the bowl if empty which is perfectly ok as my dog will wait for it. So far I haven't had any issues with the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jhairston good but slippery, easy to mess up.
Bought the largest size for my 1 year old "Pocket Pitbull" and my 4 month old lab/pit mix. Originally we purchased this just to stop the hassle of constantly refilling AND the youngest one would constantly pick up the old water dish and spill water everywhere. So just the sheer weight when filled and the capacity it held solved that problem!
But when it comes to refilling it can be a hassle to get a good grip on the sides and to carry it/set it up. Perhaps rubber sides for grips would have been helpful. It seems like if it is slightly off it just slowly leaks and you have a flood on your hands. We filled the tank all the way at 7:00 in the morning and by the time my husband got home at 3:00pm it was empty and the floor was soaked. We now have it sitting in a large width plastic storage bin which is at least going to catch any water that may leak out as well as preventing the youngest from pawing at the water sending water everywhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by KeyboinJax Does not work!
This pet waterer along with the Replendish water filters do NOT work. We have tried every single way to get these filters to work, but they do not allow water to pass through them. Either they are too thick with charcoal or the plastic strap that keeps them in place is too wide. Regardless, do not waste your time or money or you will have to put up with what we did: wondering why our dogs were licking water from the tub (or worse, the toilet when they had a completely full water bowl. Oh, that's right, the bowl is dry because the filter acts like a dam, keeping any water from flowing.
Bear in mind when you buy this that you will never have filtered water, only tap.

I've used these bowls for years (non-filtered) with dogs in the past so when I got my German Shepherd/Husky mix and noticed I was having to fill her standard bowl way too often I knew I needed another solution. I bought the 1 gallon for her because she's an inside dog and only 7 months right now. The bowl is a little small but thanks to her narrow little nose she can get it in there no problem and helps control how fast she drinks. The filter is great and remains secure as long as you follow the instructions and having a lid that screws onto the top of the jug before you place it back in the reservoir is a great change and makes it easy to use. I will definitely be getting her a larger size if needed once she's mature.
