My 70lb pit mix loves this horn and while he's only had it for two days, it's held up well to his constant chewing. Only problem I've noticed so far is the smell.. It smells like burnt hair where he has chewed it wet. Not surprising since they are made of keratin.
Needless to say i think we'll stick to the deer antler.

My Lab / Great Dane mix LOVES this chew, which we got because she wasn't interested in the Nylabone we originally purchased. It keeps her occupied on car rides, gives her something to do between walks, and is generally one of her favorite possessions. It's still holding up over a month later with just chips and strips coming off, and we'll definitely get her another when this one is through. My only warning is that it definitely has a powerful, not 100% pleasant smell when it's in the process of being chewed, i.e. coated in saliva, and that it might leave some residue on carpets. We haven't noticed any big stains, but there may be some small, slightly darkened patches.

I have a 60 lb. Shar Pei/Pit Bull mix that is a very powerful and determined chewer. She chews synthetic bones into prison-grade shanks in a matter of weeks but this chew lasts for months! She is on her second one, the first lasted about 9 months before it got too small.
Two things to note: (1) really inspect this product for jagged edges and (2) supervise all chewing. The second one did pinch my dog's lip a couple of times, but no damage done.
