We have had this for close to 5 years now. We have 6 cats and 5 of them love it. I am just now having to replace the pump. We give the fountain and pump and good cleaning once a week. You can adjust the flow of the water with the dial on the pump, no problem. You need to clean the pump weekly and it will keep working well for many years. There are two little parts to take off on the pump to clean it thoroughly. Do this and you and your pets will have a great fountain. The replacement pump is available online for about $13 with free shipping! Hope this helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChargerHeather Best investment for my kitties!
We had a non-electric auto feeder for our cats' water. I have one cat that alerted me that he's all about his animal instinct for fresh water by pawing, scratching, and moving the previous bowl to the middle of the floor. I read reviews and compared prices. I can tell you that both cats will drink where the water first comes out of the fountain and their water intake has dramatically increased. We refill the reservoir a couple of times a day. If you don't, your auto feeder will grumble until you do. Consider it your warning to refill before it burns out! There is no way that we could rely on this for more than a day away from the house, though, because they love their fresh water fountain. Keep the instructions around until you're comfortable cleaning it out and putting it back together. It's not difficult at all, but just in case. The regular cleaning and replacing of the filters are well-worth happy, healthy pets.
Fast shipping because I didn't feel like traveling an hour to purchase it. I bought refill filters while I was at it to reach a free shipping deal at the time.

It worked great for a few months then the water stopped flowing. I am taking it back to the store and exchanging it for a better model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by oldcougarz DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN PUMP REGULARLY!!!
I've had one of these for 2 1/2 years, and have had no trouble. The key is to disassemble and clean all the pump parts regularly. I clean it every 10 days. (It's easy to remember the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month). You'll know it needs cleaning when it starts sputtering. If you are willing to spend 10 minutes every 10 days, this will be a reliable pet waterer for you! My cats drink much more water since I got this.
