Rated 2 out of 5 by Unhappy Cat Mom Not Odor Free
After adopting my kitten, I decided to purchase the Litter Genie instead of using plastic grocery bags. With kitty sequestered to the bathroom, I kept the Litter Genie in the spare bedroom. After just two days of scooping, the bedroom smelled like a dirty litter box. The odor is escaping through the seam where it opens to change the bag. I now have to keep it in the garage and haul it back and forth twice a day. As it's a recent purchase, I have yet to experience the issue so many seem to be having with the bags.

I have been a huge fan of the litter genie, however the past 4 refills I have purchased have been defective! I am on a fixed income, so every penny counts! When you pull the bag from the refill only one edge should come out, but on the last 4 it is doubled over and both ends are tucked to the bottom of the refill which means u cant use it like it is designed to be used..... and trust me from experiences you can not roll it back up and correct the defect! Money wasted on 4 different occasions! Please I beg you, do better quality control of your product. I don;t have money to just waste in hopes the next refill will be in working order ~ Very disappointed in the product refill lately Hopefully there is another company that make a similar item that cares more about the customers satisfaction and money they spend on their products and are more dedicated to quality control of their products. :/ Dissatisfied customer

During these hot summer months I don't have to worry about my house or garbage can smelling. In the winter I don't have to worry about going outside to get rid of cat waste. And when I am away my cat sitter is a lot happier.

I will continue to use grocery store plastic bags because the refills are a great idea, however they are $$ and you do lose a lot near the end because you don't know when it ends and it is ALWAYS not enough so you have to throw it away. I only use the genie if it is rainy, too cold or snowy outside and I have to clean the litter box, so it's ok I guess
