ToyShoppe® Mouse Ball Squeaker Cat Toy
Too big for cats
While this made an appealing squeak sound, I think this item is too large for cats. I got this for my kitties when my cats/kittens were 1 year old very playful, cat-sized kittens, but it seemed too big/heavy for them to manipulate. I do have low-pile carpet. But it's a pretty heavy toy for a kitty. They really liked the squeak though. I donated it to an animal shelter after 6 months of trying to get my 1 year olds interested in this. They are still very playful, but with other toys. One sister is just over 9# the other just over 10#.

Great toy for the older and heavier cat. He doesn't always go for all the bells and whistles, which makes this an interactive toy for him. Having the toy make the noise (squeak) encourages him and the bigger size of the toy is easier for him to batter around. Glad a chose a variety of toys for all my boys (cats)

Seems Like a Good Idea, But...
I got this toy in preparation for adopting my 6-year-old rescue cat Fifi last year. It seemed like a really great idea, but she just doesn't go for it. That said, she doesn't usually go for toys that make noise (e.g., crinkle, squeak, tweet, jingle, etc.). If you have a cat that goes for a squeaking mouse, then your cat might go for this toy.

Everyone (except me and the hubby) loves this toy!
Something about the sound of the squeak drives my 2 young cats CRAZY! They will run around the apartment for hours playing with this darn ball. We recently adopted a mini aussi baby and she loves it just as much as the cats do!
I think the only downfall was how much it squeaks when the animals get on a roll with it. It can get annoying, but I think it's worth it!
