My cats initially loved this toy. However, after two weeks the ball stopped lighting up making it hard to see, so the cats lost interest.
I complained to the manufacturer who promptly sent out a package of two news balls at no charge.
The first ball lasted a week, the second a little longer. I still feel badly when I see one of my cats staring at the track.
They need to find a way to stop the batteries from going stale. A waste.

Product was easy to assemble. Not as sturdy as I thought it would be. My cat has disassembled parts of it when playing roughly, but parts were easy to put back together. The flashing ball that is included is very attractive to my cat. I would recommend this product.

This is by large the best cat toy I have ever purchased. I bought this around five years ago and my cats still play with it daily, regardless of age (they range from kitten to senior catizen). I have one cat who does not want anyone to see her play - ever. If she's caught she calmly walks away. She'd never do anything so undignified as play, but with this toy, she enjoys it enough that she doesn't care who sees her playing. The cats bat the ball to each other (kind of like a cat tennis of sorts) or bounce back and forth along each end hitting the ball. They still have not figured out how to get the ball out. Every other toy I've ever bought quickly lost its charm except this one. You can change the shape to provide them with something new. The only time the cats don't want to play with it is when it forms a closed circuit.
