We had a cat spraying problem in our basement (came out of nowhere as both cats had lived together over a year). The smell was coming from an area with berber carpet on cement and sheet rock walls. We emptied a gallon of this stuff on an area about 10x8 and a few feet up the wall. When it dried there was no longer any smell. Recurrent spraying (id'ed with UV light) where spot applied about 5 times and spraying ended (knock on wood). We also bought a feliway hormone difusser, plugged it in next to the spraying spot and the cats appear to be more relaxed To apply we purchased a 1 gallon garden sprayer from lowes and it worked like a charm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by anitabonita2 helpful yes, miracle no
i bought this product thinking that it would not only take away the cat urine smell, but also rid the space of all traces of urine so that the cat didn't go back to the same spot again and again to urinate. It didn't. I used plenty of product, undiluted, and let it air dry, just as the instructions say. but it didnt deter them from going back to the same space repeatedly

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bob06 Did not remove odor.
I purchased this product in Meadow Fresh after my cat urinated a few times on my cloth couch,I sprayed not only the fabric cushion cover but also removed it and sprayed the batting and foam.I kepy my cat away and allowed it to dry completely.I was more than disappointed when a few days after treatment I "sniffed" the treated areas and the smell had actually gotten worse,it still smelled like cat urine and ammonia with just a hint of a stagnant florally smell.I retreated the areas again in the same fashion as above but there was still no difference.I gave NM one more chance and tried their Oxy orange spray which worked much better than this product,it removed almost all of the odor and left behind a pleasant orange zest smell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MyCatsStaff Does a great job on spots, wet or dry
I tried this not expecting much, but it works very well on spots left by my kitty who throws up a hairball on the beige carpet about once a month. I was nicely surprised to find that it does a great job, even if an accident has left a stain. I use it with a brush, but don't need to spend too much time on it. Then a damp cloth to blot, and it is good to go. It also doesn't seem to bother my cats, so not toxic for them. I gave four instead of five stars because I have not needed to use it on urine or kittypoo, (my girls are fastidious about using the catbox ), but I suspect it works as well for those.
