Very dusty! No clumping capability. However, great on odor control.

I like that this product is unscented and controls the odor very well. I don't like the excessive dust cloud for me or my cats and the tracking seems to be more than other brands as well.

If I could, I'd give this product no stars for lack of truth in packaging. Sure, it clumps. I'll give it that. But the scent is sickeningly strong. I could smell it in my hair after pouring it into the cat box! I don't know how the maker can possibly market this product as unscented. And the amount of dust it makes, especially considering the fact that we have an enclosed litter box, is disturbing. I don't want my cat inhaling that dust, nor do i want her and my house to smell like bath powder from the '50s.
If you are looking for a truly unscented cat litter that clumps well, hold down odor, isn't too dusty, I recommend Ever Clean Unscented. Sure, it costs more but it's worth it, especially if you live in a small home like we do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dpcole dusty but excellent at odor control! Clumps urine.
I'm trying multiple kitty litters for my newly adopted cat. Fresh Step Extreme Unscented received a lot of high marks and was recommended by a close friend.
The kitty litter particles are finer than some other brands. This might be another reason for the cat to be less inclined to use it, but not all cats respond to kitty litter the same ways.
I wish this litter came in sizes higher than 25LB - it is a little pricey, but it's arguably worth it. Right out of the box, I could tell both its unscented state (there is a fragrance but I think that has to do with the odor controlling properties and not an artificial coverup scent) AND controlling odor.
Being 25LB, with the litterbox I had bought, there wasn't enough litter to make the 3 to 4" of depth preferred. That might be why the cat hasn't used this particular litterbox.
But he has used the litterbox with this litter a couple of times. So far, on each occasion, the litter clumps, there is no trace of any nasty chicken smell, nor can I tell if the clumps are from solid material or liquid - but based on the shape I'd say both incidents were probably liquid. In which case this litter does a GREAT job at clumping cat urine.
I will be buying a second box of this and getting the litter to the desired depth. Maybe he will use it more often, and he might prefer the placement of the box being in the room where he's been doing his business more often.
Cats are indeed wonderful creatures, but there's no instruction manual saying what they're used to.
