ExquisiCat® Naturals Pine Cat Litter
Great, Really Bad, Then Better
Yep, just like everyone else wrote . . . been using this litter for 7 years, then suddenly got a 40 lb bag that was totally different and disgusting. The litter and urine stuck to the litter box like glue. I had to take it outdoors and blast with water hose before even being able to clean. I too thought, "oh no, what did they do? What will I replace with now?". But I took one more chance and bought it again. That bag was back to the normal standard (and I was relieved). I was thinking I just got a single bag that was somehow damaged in transit or something. Now I know I am not the only one who experienced this. Hope ExquisiCat will pay attention and only manufacture the quality product to which we are accustomed.

I've used this product for a while and absolutely loved it! It was amazing at odor control. I use the Breeze litter boxes and use the pine litter instead of the lava rock litter. The urine would be absorbed by the pine, becoming loose flakes. It was easy to remove the solid waste with the Breeze scooper saving unwet litter in the boxes and the loose flakes would filter through the grate into the pans under the boxes. It was nearly the perfect system, until the last bag of litter I bought. The pellets are smaller and do not absorb the urine. So now I have pans full of urine which I hate dealing with. Please change the formula back!!!! Or I will have to find something else.

Product not what it used to be
I have been using this litter for my 2 cats for some time now and I have recently noticed that it is not what it used to be. Before there was no odor, now it's a rancid death smell. Like others have said it stays wet, never dries, and sticks to everything. I will be switching litters.

I've have been using this litter for about 2 years for my five cats. They used it and I liked it because of minimal tracking outside the box. Great odor control and very absorbent. I purchased a 40-lb bag on July 2 and it seems like an inferior quality product to the last bag purchased about a month ago. I have noticed an odd odor when scooping the box. Additionally, when the litter begins so absorb the urine, it seems to stick to the bottom of the litter box. The stickiness is not like a clumping litter, but kind of like wet sawdust. With the previous formulation, the 'wet sawdust' would dry, but it does not seem to dry with the new formulation. This has never been a problem with the previous bags I have purchased. I would return it, but I tossed the bag. I guess I will be searching for a new litter.
