Whisker City® Hooded Cat Pan
I have one kitten and from get go it was not well put together. Also you have to put a lot of litter so cat can cover mess if not will tear bag all up. makes u waste litter. Also it just barley snaps all around. Door just stays in the most and litter all over floor. Do love that u can open and bend one part back to easily scoop or like i needed to do for my kitten after her spay so she could get in with the cone aka e collar, that wouldnt fit through door. looking for a better one.

I bought this litter box because it was large and I liked the hooded lid with the flap to help keep in the odor and litter. However, after a few months, the flap broke off when one of the cats (I have 2) went through it. It was not something I could fix. Then, I was cleaning out the box and leaned against it and the top shattered. This litter box is very brittle and breaks easily. It isn't worth the money. I didn't feel I could return it because I didn't have the receipt anymore and it had been used for several months. It was a complete waste of money. I bought something different but I am not really happy with it.

Waste of money. I bought two of these pans and hoods this is $50 worth of litter boxes that cracked and fell apart in less then a year. The plastic is extremely thin and brittle. I threw out my old pans which were OK but so old the plastic was discolored with age. These didn't last long enough to get dirty. I'm returning them for a credit or exchange.

The Idea Hooded Litter Box
I was in search of a hooded litter box since my cat scattered half her litter box on the floor most of the time and I needed one with extra room for my larger cat. I read somewhere that it is recommended that the cat as room to stand up perfectly inside, and this was the perfect height. I fill the litter about 2.5 inches and they both can stand up perfectly fine. Another design flaw I read that most hooded litter boxes have are ventilation holes so that the litter dust doesn't overwhelm inside, I was willing to drill some holes on the side but I found that the lid already had some up top, another plus. It was also the only litter box that had a lid with a hinge so that I didn't have to remove the entire litter box every time, yes the hinges are a bit on the flimsy side but that is NOT enough reason to rule out this litter box. If you're careful with it and make sure the front 4 fasteners *click* and that the 2 parts of the litter box (front and back) line up at the split so that you avoid breaking it. The door is also big enough for the bigger of my 2 cats to get in so thats also a plus. Cleaning this litter box is also sooooooo easy that I actually don't mind cleaning the twice a day I'm supposed to.
