I have been buying the 50 lb. bags for several years. Suddenly they are no longer available. The "Baby" does not like the competitor's product.

The tidy cat litter in the green top clumping has changed. The smell is really messing up my alergies and my house smells . I have used this kind for years but I will have to dump this. I dumped the last i bought thinking it was just that one jug but this jug is so bad I can`t stand to be in the room where it is. What is going on

Rated 2 out of 5 by Catmando Bag O'Dust
I have been using the 30lb bags of non-clumping for multi cats for several years and found it to be entirely satisfactory EXCEPT, every now and then I get a bag that is loaded with dusty fines that get tracked all over the house. While I find cat footprints cute, they are not appealing on the furniture or countertops when I know they came from the litter box! The last bag I bought was so dusty I dumped the whole thing out. In a proper bag, I pour it into the box, cat pees and leaves a small wet spot the size of a dime. In dusty litter, cat pees and leaves a wet mark the size of the green spot on the front of the bag. (This is in 3" deep litter)
I would recommend this with reservations and a warning of the possibility of a dusty bag.
UPC 70230 10734 bag # 5161116820754L04 if you want it's info.
Hopefully the next one won't be the last one, as I shall give it one more chance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Steph_H What Happened to the Pull String??
I have been buying Tidy Cats for 20 years, since I got my first cats, and I was so happy when they implemented the red "pull string" to open the bag--it made it SO much easier. I mean, hauling around 20-40 pounds of cat litter is hard enough, opening the bag shouldn't be. I can't even remember how long ago they started using it--it's been a LONG time. But with the last two bags I've purchased, they've REMOVED the pull string and now there is a little graphic near the top of the bag to show that you must CUT it. Really? I don't typically keep scissors where I keep the cat litter box...and I don't think I should have to! I was willing to spend extra money for this convenience, but now I will be looking for a new brand, hopefully one that has a pull tab!
