My cat urinates a lot due to a thyroid problem. I tried several brands of silica gel litter but they were dusty & didn't absorb well. No matter the brand they all lasted 4-5 days then her box had to be dumped & washed. Smell got so bad she would would deficate outside her box to let me know she wanted it cleaned.
My cat had no problem transitioning to this walnut litter. I put it in her 2nd litter box & left her regular litter in her 1st box till it ran out. I chose the multi cat hoping for best absorbing & clumping. It clumps great so I just scoop her box once a day. It absorbs the urine odor, & it has no smell itself. It also has no dust! It does track a bit but I have a shaggy rug around her box to catch it.
Daisy & I both love this litter, she hasn't deficated outside her box since using it.

I really wanted to like this product; it's all natural, has a great walnut smell, not too bad on the clumping. But, not only does it track (and I've put down anti tracking mats) - the worst part is the brown dust gets EVERYWHERE!!!! Wherever you keep your letterbox- for me it's a small laundry room- you can be rest assured everything will be covered in brown dust in no time. It gets in the cats fur, it turns their bedding brown (luckily it washed out on a long wash cycle), it will even coat the outside of your litter genie.
What's baffling is that it doesn't appear dusty- not when poured, not when scooped, not when kicked around.

I didn't buy this because it's all natural. An employee at Petsmart noticed I was looking at the litters and suggested it. I don't buy litter from pet stores and I almost didn't buy it, but the positive things that she said made me curious.
The clumps don't fall apart as you sift them out, nor do they stick to the box. We no longer have corners of the littler box that are soaked with urine, which just fall through the sifter like sand. We use FAR less litter because of this. I just have to top off the litter box instead of dumping the whole thing from time to time. Naturally Fresh litter doesn't have a perfume scent, and yet it completely traps the odor.
My cat didn't want to use it at first, because it looks and feels so different. So we filled the litter box with Naturally Fresh litter and then sprinkled a small amount of the old litter on top. Our cat began using it immediately and we've never had to add the old litter since that first time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by twpenguin I, and my cats, love this litter
The dark color may take a little getting used to but with no added scent, it seems to control odor, it has minimal dust (though your cat's paws will have some dark coloring right after using the box), it tracks about the same as other minimal tracking litters AND... it's the BEST at clumping that I have ever used!! (I don't count any of the clay ones because I refuse to use clay litter but I doubt any clay litter clumps better than this.) Because of the great clumping, it lasts forever. I did some mixing with my other litter to get the cats used to it but they never really seemed to care so I was 100% with this in no time. I highly recommend it.
