Sunbeam water purifier.
Lasted 1 year and the pump us not functioning. It requires a lot of maintenance.

My cats use this regularly
I have a couple of cats with urinary tract issues and the vet recommended finding ways to make them drink more water. I picked this up and now all 5 of my cats drink from it every day. I usually have to refill the reservoir bottle every other day to keep up with the demand. My cats seem to like this fountain better than a similar one I have without the charcoal filter, so I may get another one of these.
The pump is adjustable - there's a small lever on the side of it that will reduce the flow of water, so maybe that will help any cats/kittens that are afraid. Also, the "fountain" part can be shut off so the water circulates through the bowl, with zero splashing - that may help too.

Works Fine, But..
Well, it does what it's supposed to do - that is, the fountain works and the pump is quiet, it filters the water, the water doesn't splash, and it's very easy to clean. The only problem? My kitten is /terrified/ of this water fountain. He won't touch it unless I have the fountain part turned off, and even then he's really cautious of it. One day, I had a coffee mug filled with water on my coffee table in my living room while he was eating his breakfast in the kitchen. He actually left the kitchen and came over to me, jumped up on the coffee table, and drank the water from my coffee mug. He preferred to go completely out of his way and to drink still water from my mug than to drink the water from this fountain. In my opinion, that means this water fountain was a complete waste of my money. I'm sure this works fine for other cats, but mine hates it.

It got slimy very quickly even using bottled water and was a job to get it squeeky clean. I then bought a fountain (which also gets slimy in like three days, why?) that easily comes apart and both pieces of it goes in my dishwasher. So easy.
